We’ve posted a video from last month’s presentation on Homophobia in Armenia and already within hours the homophobes have started to lash out against the video. Please visit the video on YouTube and post comments of support for greater awareness about issues of homophobia in Armenia and the global Armenian community.

How does one say “homosexuality” in Armenian?
Would any Armenian-speaker volunteer to create an article about homosexuality on the Armenian Wikipedia ? The article exists in plenty of languages, as you can see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexuality but not yet on http://hy.wikipedia.org/

Article started here : http://hy.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D5%84%D5%AB%D5%A1%D5%BD%D5%A5%D5%BC%D5%A1%D5%AF%D5%A1%D5%B6
Any Armenian-speaker may help by modifying and adding to it.

Welcome to NYC.
I think it’s useful to block hateful users on your youtube page. Arguing with them only gives them what they want: an ugly fight where they can be destructive.
Finally, is the homophobia in Armenia similar to other lands in the region or is it worse?
